Scopus in Detail: Who is involved?
Scopus was developed in close collaboration with librarians and researchers from more than 30 institutions around the world through the Development Partner Program.
The Development Partners have contributed to Scopus' development by:
- Usability and product testing
- Annual colloquia to share ideas, evaluate Scopus and prioritize future developments
- Focus groups to gain in-depth understanding of the daily issues librarians face when providing information services
An additional group of Scopus advisors help to shape its future.
The Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) is a group of approximately 20 scientists and researchers and 10 subject librarians from all corners of the globe who each represent every major scientific discipline. They work with the Scopus team to understand how the product is used and how it could be enhanced. Their recommendations directly influence the overall direction of Scopus and the prioritisation of requests for new features. The group also contributes to the content growth strategy to ensure Scopus content stays international, current and relevant. The Board annually reviews new requests for additional content including document types, subjects and languages. To submit a request for inclusion, please go to www.info.scopus.com/suggesttitle.
