Scopus and ProQuest have recently established a unique reciprocal searching and linking partnership, making selected content in important areas searchable on both Scopus and CSA Illumina. With the superior coverage of both of these well-established platforms, this partnership represents the most comprehensive coverage in Scientific, Technical, Medical, Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences content integrated in one interface. Through this reciprocal partnership - available to customers who subscribe to both Scopus and CSA Illumina – approximately 4,500 titles (comprising 2.5 million records) in Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences from the following databases are made available on Scopus for cross-searching to mutual customers:
In addition, subscribers to Scopus are able to search 4,500 Scopus titles in Natural Sciences and Business & Economics on CSA Illumina. Expanding research capabilities Scopus users can find de-duplicated search results from CSA Illumina’s leading databases in the area of Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences, such as Sociological Abstracts, dating back to 1952. Additional search results are seamlessly integrated in the results set with a direct link to the original record on CSA Illumina and to the full text, if available, in their library. At the same time, this integration enables users of CSA Illumina to find titles in Natural Sciences and Business & Economics from Scopus directly integrated in their search results making Scopus content more accessible at relevant points in the literature research process. Despite this large-scale exchange of data, in visual terms the integration is remarkably seamless.
