From the Editor

Welcome to the latest edition of Inside Scopus. This issue, introduced by Vice President of Product Marketing, Academic & Government Products Yukun Harsono, examines the Scopus Journal Analyzer, a new tool that assists in journal evaluation.

It is our commitment to information discovery that makes Scopus so unique. The recently launched Scopus Journal Analyzer goes the extra mile by offering a tool that assesses journal performance. This in turn helps researchers, publishing editors and librarians to decide the most strategic journals to publish and invest in, optimizing resources and maximising their return on investment.

Inside Scopus also discusses some wonderful time-saving enhancements to Scopus – the Scopus Affiliation Identifier, TopCited, Author Citation Alerts - and an interesting article on Social Bookmarking. We also meet Hyung-Sun Kim, a professor at Inha University and Alison Whiddon, Coordinator at the Natural Resources Canada Library, who discuss their experiences with Scopus.
